I'm usually not one to make New Year's resolutions or end-of-the-year commentaries, but I feel there is so much to be grateful for in 2013 and so much to look forward to in 2014, that I had to share my favorite event in 2013 and highlight the upcoming year.

Last year was full of amazing opportunities to stretch my creative and sewing skills, namely working on the wedding faction of EcoArmoire, EcoTrousseau. With one large wedding party and another client with an intricate dress, the wedding portfolio expanded greatly in 2013. The  vintage-inspired /wedding below was even featured on RuffledBlog.com!

This year has several amazing projects in the works, but I'll focus on the two big ones.

First: I am very proud to be part of the 2014 Sewing Rabbit Team, coordinated by the mesewcrazy blog.  Along with 6 other seamstresses and sewn crafters, I will be creating a sewing tutorial each month. The group features some amazingly talented women and I am honored to be part of the team. It should be buckets of fun!

And my other big announcement for this year:

EcoArmoire will be releasing its first line of womenswear!

Due out in Fall, the line will feature 2 skirts, 1 blouse, 1 skirt and 1 dress, all organic cottons and recycyled fabrics, versatile in design and available in a wide array of sizes.

In the spring, I will launch an Indiegogo campaign, in order to crowdsource funds to manufacture the line, locally in Dallas, TX. The campaign will offer an opportunity for you to preorder items from the line and get extra goodies in the process. I'll have some options for men and kids as a thank you gift as well for anyone else who would like to support the line.

Can't wait to embark on this exciting and challenging year for EcoArmoire. In the meantime, to keep you salivating, here's a sneak peek at the fabrics.
